Yorke Dance Project was launched in the UK in 2009 and is a dynamic, contemporary dance company under the artistic direction of Yolande Yorke-Edgell. The company strives to fulfill two distinct missions: Firstly, creating and performing inspiring, high quality, dance theatre work in a range of styles and bringing that work to an ever-widening audience; and secondly, engaging with young artists, from varying disciplines, to nurture their own personal and professional development, both in the studio and in performance.

YDP offers inspiring growth opportunities for choreographers, dancers, students and audiences in every location to which their work takes them.

In keeping with Yorke-Edgell’s personal trajectory of training and performing in both the UK and the US, the company is focused on nurturing connections with the US, creating and presenting work both at home and in the States.

YDP brings together artists to create programmes that have a reputation for high production values, critically acclaimed choreography and outstanding dancing.
